Farcebook Groups – The most annoying feature ever.

If you’ve logged into Facebook recently the chances are that at some point you’ve seen a suggestion rather similar to this.  That’s right, it’s yet another ‘official petition’ for this, that or the other; the creation of some illiterate hopeful who aims to overthrow society with their mighty group.
I’m not sure what annoys me more: [...]

Facebook’s Video application = utter rubbish!

Facebook has a massive catalogue of applications to satisfy the desires of every single user.  Whether it’s uploading photos, or playing Scrabble, Facebook will have an app for you; even video… It’s just a shame that the video app is so rubbish!

Facebook's new TOS – Storm in a teacup?

I wrote recently about a potential new facet of the “Digital Divide” involving social networking, and social media in general. Facebook, probably the largest social network on the World Wide Web, has recently announced subtle changes to its ‘Terms of Service’; changes that despite being so subtle you’d never notice them, mean that Facebook now effectively own everything you put onto the service. There seems to be a dangerous trend in the media of scare-mongering and negativity that seems deliberately engineered to put users off using the services of the targetted company. I think that these changes are more of a storm-in-a-teacup than the massive invasion of privacy that a lot of commentators are making out.
